How to install EC2 Instance Linux Based

In the previous Blog, we Learned what is EC2 and how to install EC2 for windows, In this blog, we are going to learn how to install Linux based Instance. so let's get started!!!

Step 1: First Login to your console as we have shown in the previous blog. after that, you can see your Amazon dashboard like this, first go to compute service, and click on EC2.

Step 2: After Clicking on EC2 your EC2 dashboard will be open as shown in the below image, click on the launch instance button(and you can see how many running instances, key pairs and so many things from here).

Step 3: Now as you can see in the below image after clicking on launch instance you will get this on your screen, now you have to select what type of instance you want in our case we are going to select the first one(free tier eligible) that is the Linux instance and click on the select button.

Step 4: Now you have to select what type of instance you want to install, here we are going to select free tier eligible as marked in the below image and click on review and launch button.

Step 5: After clicking on the launch button you will get a screen like in the below image, leave all the settings as it is as mentioned in the below image leave by default, and click on the launch button.

Step 6: After that, you need a key pair for your instance, so select create a key pair option and give a name for your key pair and click on download key pair option as shown in the below image.

Step 7: Click on the launch instance button as shown in the below image.

Step 8: After you will click on the launch button you can see the launch status as shown in the below image.

Step 9: See your launch status as shown in the below image after finishing launching you can see the view launch button on your screen, click on that button.

Step 10: As you can see your instance now you can check your instance type and your instance state which is running in the below image.

Step 11: click on the connect button beside that launch instance button, you can see the connection method, how we have to do connections.

Step 12: Go to your desktop and create a folder of any name as shown in the below image.

Step 13: Add the keypair file to your folder as shown in the below image, the file which downloaded while creating a key pair.

Step 14: Open Command prompt and go to that folder you created as shown in the below image.

Step 15: paste the command ssh -i “keypairfilename.pem” “user name”, as shown in the below image we have added our key pair file name and ec2 instance user name.

Step 16: After you will run the previous command it will ask for the permission that are you sure to continue, type yes there, and press enter button.

Step 17: Now you can access your Linux based instance through your command prompt and you can see in below image how to create a folder using command lines.

congrats you used infrastructure as a service from Amazon web services. and you got your Linux based EC2 instance.
